 Independent Churches

United in the Grace of the Gospel

The Fellowship of Evangelical Catholic Churches are independent churches united in the common purpose of providing Sacramental and Gospel grace through the Catholic Christian tradition.

We are first and foremost Christian because we publicly acknowledge Jesus Christ as the head of our churches, proclaiming the Gospel in everything we say and do.

“We will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.” (Ephesians 4:15)

We are Catholic in utilizing valid Sacraments and valid Apostolic succession as tools for sharing God’s grace, as expressed in time-tested rituals.

The Sacraments we freely share come from Biblical inspiration as instituted by Jesus Christ to give grace for the good of the church.

“God has put all things under the power of Christ, and for the good of the church he has made him the head of everything.” (Ephesians 1:22)

Our Apostolic succession gives us a protector Bishop who serves the churches in the role of the unifying member of the Body of Christ, rooting us within the best of the old while also helping us with the best of the new.

The Bishop is not the head of the Body; Jesus Christ is the head of the Body. So, the protector Bishop serves the clergy, who are the servants of the people of God, with Jesus Christ as the source of our grace-filled lives as Evangelical Catholics.

“Christ is the head of his body, the church; he is the source of the body's life. He is the first-born Son, who was raised from death, in order that he alone might have the first place in all things.” (Colossians 1:18)
